seems to me as though the nlg was at 90 degrees to where it should be. the pilot kept the nose high for as long as possible whilst the aircraft slowed on reverse thrust. then when the nose eventualy and inevitably came down (as the elevators could no longer control the attitude of the aircraft due to its lack of speed) he applied the brakes. pressumably on antiskid off. but the smoke is the nlg on fire. lots of friction caused by the nose wheels not rotating and just scrubbing down the runway
