Nashville, October 16th, 2008 --- Orleans & Friends perform at the 1st annual "Rock the Power, 70s Style" concert to benefit You Have the Power - a Nashville-based non-profit serving victims of violent crime and providing chidren's advocacy. In a 3-hour, all-hits show, an expanded Orleans band backed Jimi Jamison (formerly of Survivor), John Cafferty & "Tunes" (Beaver Brown Band), Joe Lynn Turner (formerly of Deep Purple / Rainbow), Melissa Manchester and John Ford Coley, along with playing their own hits.
Joe Bouchard (formerly of Blue Oyster Cult), steps to the forefront here to deliver the iconic BOC hit. "MORE COWBELL" indeed :-)

Lance and Larry Hoppen of Orleans perform "The Power of One" at the Nashville Center for Spiritual Living, Sunday July19, 2009. NCSL is a "New Thought" church which Lance has attended for many years, serving as a band member there. Larry was the guest artist on this day. The song, co-written by Larry and now 20 years old, relates a timeless, empowering message about personal responsibility and the effect YOU can have on the world around you. Not unlike Michael Jackson's "We Are the World", this is an anthem for Everyman, whose time has come. On Friday, April 17th of 2009, Orleans had the great privilege and honor of performing our National Anthem at Tropicana Field, Tampa Bay, FL. The Rays took on the Chicago White Sox in what was to become one of the most thrilling ball games any of us had ever seen. Punctuated by a grand slam home run that took the Rays from behind to one run ahead, the ultimate outcome was not to be decided until the final out ... with the home team victorious. Now THAT's a ball game!
