Mission
Northwestern Oklahoma State University is a community of learners that includes students, teachers, staff, administrators, and area citizens advancing learning excellence and preparing its members for service as leaders and entrepreneurs in the changing climate of northwest Oklahoma and the world.

Northwestern Oklahoma State University is a four-year university with a main campus in Alva, OK, and branch campuses in Enid and Woodward. Northwestern was founded in 1897. Northwestern averages about 2,200 students total.

Northwestern's colors are Red and Black, and the mascot is Rangers.

The Rangers participate in a number athletics areas and belong to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The football team, which plays in the Central States Football League (CSFL), won the 1999 NAIA National Championship, and the men's basketball team has participated in the NAIA National Championship Tournament twice in the last three years making it tot he Elite 8 in 2007.

Other sports include women's basketball, softball, women's soccer, baseball, cross country, men's golf and women's golf, a large and successful rodeo team and cheerleading.

Northwestern has a number of degrees available from which to choose, and has an outstanding scholarship and financial aid program, so you're able to earn a quality education at an affordable price.

U.S. News and World Report has listed Northwestern as Oklahoma's top-ranked public regional university for three straight years. Northwestern also was recognized as a national leader in lowest student debt.
