Noviot Pochetok is a punkrock/melodic hardcore band based in Skopje, Macedonia, formed in 2002 with the original name "Morfium" and later (in 2005) replaced with Noviot Pochetok ("The New Beginning" on macedonian). So far, they've released 3 LP's: "Evolucijata bi trebalo da zapochne sega..." - released in October, 2006, on their own DIY label - Sixtynine Records, "Agnozija" - released in May, 2009 on Enterprise Records, and their newest "Melancholic Machine" - released in February, 2012, again on Sixtynine Records. The new album was promoted on their "Melancholic Balkan Tour" in May, 2012, and included Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Some of the most important appearances of the band were at the EXIT Festival in Serbia (2009), Dirty Old Festival in Croatia (2009) and Alarm Festival, Macedonia (2010). The band can be recognized by their energetic performances, the fast California-inspired punk-rock, mixed with the good old hardcore basis.
