'Dub Ya War' documents the 'Don't attack Iraq' protests in London 2003-2006. Mixed live to dub-reggae music with use of ambient sound from the marches and a hard hitting visual style.
(This version was mixed live at the 'Protest' Late at Tate event, Tate Britain art gallery, London.)
The film is mixed down live using VJ techniques to a dub-reggae soundtrack performed by Prodical and covers 6 London protests , before during and after the war in Iraq 03. Interspersed with the protest footage is Prelinger archive cold war propaganda, remixed to give a different meaning 50 years later. Textual information provides another layer of meaning and underlines the documentary basis of the film.
