He was born in 1892 and started teaching golf in 1910. He was head professional at the prestigious Los Angeles Country Club from 1921-1946 - He was host professional at the 1st Los Angeles Open. He walked with golfing greats like Harry Vardon, Alex Findlay, Walter Travis, Bobby Jones, Sir Henry Cotton, Walter Hagen, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead and many others. He developed a golf swing that is 2nd to none, easily learned with discipline and enjoyable to use as it makes playing this great game of golf so much fun. I promote and teach the Joe Norwood Golf Swing - founded by my Grandfather Joe Norwood. I studied with my Grandfather for 17 years - first shanking the h**l our of the ball and learning from him and eventually teaching for him furing the last couple of years of his life. He loved golf and passed his passion on to me. He loved to see the smile on a golfers face when they hit the ball well - he passed that love onto me also.:)

Interests and Hobbies: I used to play a lot of tennis. The Joe Norwood grip is perfect for this game. Now I spend most of my private time with the love of my life - my wife. Music: Favorite groups of the 70's & 80's include Fleetwood Mac, Eagle, Pink Floyd, Bon Jovi and of course there is no better composer that Motzart - also the Cannon in D by Pacobel - his only great work of art in music and last but not least is J.S. Bach - Motzart and Bach - it can't get any better than that.
