Nidhöggs Vrede started back in 2002 as a soloproject,just to see how hard/easy it was to make a name in vikingrock. Two songs recorded and was sent to the amateur-label Valhalla Records. They contacted us and they offered us a contract. One song was released on the compilation-CD 'Party på Valhall' 2003. The deal was off after the label did'nt work as they should.

Nidhöggs Vrede became a project when Andreas joined the band Njord. but in 2005 new songs were recorded.

In november 2005, Andreas left the band Njord and gave Nidhöggs Vrede all of his energy. Patrik Björkmann (Njord) joined on bass.

In august 2006 Patrik had to leave the band and Nidhöggs Vrede was once again a one-man-band.

For the recording of the debutalbum a drummer were "hired" (Johan Wåhlström. Who joined the band in march 2007 but left Nidhöggs Vrede the same year in november.

Tommy Virmaja was asked if he wanted to play bass on the kuggnäs-gig 2007
and he joined the band in june.
Stefan in Völund Smed recommended Jonas Widetjärn (ex. Dagaz)
to join Nidhöggs Vrede for the kuggnäs-gig. He became a member in october 2007.
