The River is an independent congregation of Christians based in Poughkeepsie, New York, and dedicated to demonstrating the love of Jesus to the Hudson Valley and beyond through practical acts of servanthood.

The River is in a period of change in the aftermath of October 30, 2008, when a fire destroyed our building. There was a sign outside our church that was also destroyed in the fire, but the statement on it holds true as much as it ever did: The River Never Stops Moving.
