The Northern California Breathmobile want to share its day-to-day activities and accomplishments to the public and spread the word about the asthma epidemic in the Bay Area. The Breathmobile is a "asthma clinic on wheels" that visits asthmatic children at their schools to provide them with asthma (and allergy) education, treatment, education, and case management. We provide a sustainable, accessible community wide asthma disease management program that shifts away from acute episodic care (ER visits) to regular preventative care. No child leaves without medication or the means of obtaining medication between visits. We keep children IN school and out of the emergency room!
