Naimah Fuller is the producer/director/writer, as well as the videographer and editor of this insightful documentary project chronicling the mass migration of African Americans relocation to the southern regions of the U.S.. Recent migrants sharing their migration stories include Maya Angelou, Morgan Freeman, Terrence Blanchard, Andrew Young, Reuben Cannon, Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, Dr. Howard Dodson, to mention a few. Four years in the making, Fuller who is also a recent migrant to Atlanta realized she was participating in a historical event. Fuller connects the dots between this migration and the Great Migration of the mid twentieth century, when over six million African Americans packed up and left the south and west to the North and the West, changing the political, economical, social, and cultural landscape of every major urban city in the nation. History is repeating itself as millions of African Americans are relocating en mass to Southern cities such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Memphis, Birmingham, Houston, and New Orleans.
