Why listen to music sung by the artist themselves when you can listen to them sung by children who make it worse!

The book, hadashi no gen, is published by penguin books. It may be out of print now because I have my dads copy and he bought it over twenty years ago, but, if you want it, why not search on ebay or amazon for it. The book is better than the film as the characters have a bit more of a harder, realistic edge to them that they lack in the animated version. It's an awesome book though and I've read it at least fifteen times.

I went to hiroshima a few years ago with my parents on vacation. It's such a thought provoking place. How crazy that somebody could even create such terrible weapons and place them into the hands of governments to test out on the Japanese.

this movie had a tremendous effect on my understanding of what happened in Japan during those fateful days.. it sends such a powerful message. The horrors of war are numerous and seemingly never-ending.
