Meh, I have a 1920x1200 15" HP laptop (~150 PPI) from 2007. I love the resolution and I'd use it as my primary laptop if it weren't so bulky compared to my ThinkPad.
I'd like to see 1600x900 13" screens and 1920x1080 on 15" screens. 1366x768 works great for people who game or watch fullscreen vi...

Assuming you had that much RAM, a 32-bit system won't "see" anything above 4GB. (Unless you did PAE "voodoo" like 32-bit Windows Server versions, which are still limited to 16GB I believe.) In other words: you'll just waste 96GB of RAM that way :P

Apple doesn't make the hardware; Foxconn, Asus, and Intel, among others, make it. These manufacturers also make PC hardware. Mac hardware is, as a whole, upper midrange or lower high-end, so it's definitely not "superior to PC".
Nowadays, there are few actual "needs" for a Mac. Most professional...
