We pick the truth & then explain it., not just what will "sound better".
1- Some people doubt the marriage age for the following reasons:
a- Intimidated by MORE exposure to Western hypocritical claims (& glitter of industrialization), than to Islamic sound principles & influence.
b- Inability to recognize the difference in circumstances across centuries, compounded by the inability to perceive that weakness!
c- Refering to incomplete & self contradictory studies:
(i) Using WEAK narrations to disprove AUTHENTIC ones!
(ii) Claiming the age of 9 is narrated ONLY by Hisham Ibn Urwah. OTHERS related it, in AUHTENTIC hadeeths!
(iii) They are NOT qualified in Hadeeth to disprove Hisham since his narration was confirmed by the nation's FOREMOST Hadeeth expert, Imam Bukhari.
d- Ignoring that ijmaa' about Hadeeth methodology (& qualifications of Bukhari, Muslim, & the like) is based on THOUROUGH RATIONAL foundations, & not unfounded fanaticism and "allegience".

2- People who doubt the marriage age end up (or start up) with the following:
a- Rejecting the total methodology of Hadeeth
b- Arrogance in thinking they are more intelligent, meticulous, truth caring, and scrupulous than the "salaf" of our nation.
c- Rejecting the Ijmaa about the authenticity of innumerable hadeeths.
d- Rejecting the authenticity. integrity, and qualifications of Bukhari, Muslim, and the like.
e- Rejecting altogether the authority of hadeeth.
f- Rejecting the Aayah: "...so that you will clarify to mankind what has been revealed to them". WITHOUT THE SOLID METHODOLOGY OF HADEETH that Allah blessed this nation with, MANKIND WILL NOT HAVE ANY CLARIFICATION about the revvelation: Each person will have his own way of assessing which hadeeths to accept, which to reject, and each person will have his own interpretation to every aayah of the Quran!!!

Love your videos since they're both educational and informative.

I also like the great way you try to use logic and reason in order to explain Islam's point of view about various subjects...especially when it comes to marriage...the videos pertaining to that subject make lottsa sense.

But...I've read various reports and analyses that destroy the myth that Our Blesses Prophet Mohammed married Aisha at a very early age, by using various calculations.

It might have been a good idea to also use these arguments as back up....or naa the videos were very straightforward, it would have just confused ppl if that other argument got mixed with it.

In any case, keep up the good work. May Allah bless you for this great endeavor in this life and the next.
