Been a lover of Northern Soul and Tamla Motown music since before my teens when my sister (8yrs older) used to play Tamla odd bit of northern and stuff from the Trojan label..In my early teens every Monday night was spent at the local Mecca (under 18s) ahh happy days.. Finally made it to Wigan Casino (albeit only twice) in the summer of 1981, short period at Clifton Hall Rotherham, and Queen's Hall Bradford, then a bit of a break till the late 90's. Went off the rails slightly in about 1981 when I got into the 'New Romantic' thing..oh the clothes I wore..
Finally got back into the Northern Scene in 1997. Throughout the last 12 years we have met some wonderful people, firm friendships have been formed.
Northern Soul...'Our' way of life..long may it continue.

Interests and Hobbies: Northern soul and tamla (of course).. Dancing.. Taking loads and loads of photos! Talking..lots! Vodka..mixed with more or less anything! Singing..I don't however have a good voice..of which my beloved will verify!
Movies and Shows: I just have to admit to loving 'Dirty Dancing'..and of course 'Quadrophenia' numerous old 60s films. old 60s early 70s top of the pops,music vids, Northern Soul tv footage etc... Beat-Club(dvds) London early to mid sixties footage of bands..marquee club, Tiles Club Oxford Street..in fact anything to do with anything from the 60s!..mods,original skinheads.etc etc..
Music: Does it really need saying...???
Books: Anything by; Jill Mansell, Carole Matthews, Martina Cole, Manda Sue Heller..
