The Real Mother Funkers sono una funky & soul band toscana fortemente ispirata dalle Family Funky Band degli anni 70. Questa band ha una particolarità, la formazione è quasi completamente femminile, fatta eccezione per il chitarrista Davide.
Nata all'inizio del 2011, seppur giovanissimi hanno cominciato presto a muoversi nel circuito della black music italiana, partecipando a Luglio 2011 al Porretta Soul Festival e a Settembre 2011 al SuperSound di Faenza, promosse da Funk-in-Italia.
Curtis Mayfield, The Isley Brothers, Sly & TheFamily Stone, The Blackbyrds, Kool & The Gang ed molti altri, sono pane quotidiano per questa band.
