Finally figured out a name for it (as I'm sure you can see.) As I was making this piece, I pictured a battered group of warriors making their journey home after seeing the last of their enemies fall. This piece, to me, sounds melancholy, but also proud and uplifting- this is exactly what I think these warriors feel... They are saddened by the loss of their friends, weary and injured from battle. Yet they are also heroes, leaving with the knowledge that they have won and will soon see their families.

Made this piece all in one day. I was quite surprised. And It's my longest piece yet. It's not very complex. It could use more in the ways of interest, but it was really made to occupy myself, so not a big deal. IF you like it, wonderful! ^_^ If you don't, that's good too. If you dislike it, you could give me constructive criticism (as opposed to just telling me "IT SUX")

The video's kinda choppy, but it's the best I could do. I wanted to give ya'll something a bit more interesting to look at.

Didgeridoo moondoggy385 - 445 views - 6 months ago
Hey guys! I finally snagged a didgeridoo. I'm still developing my tone and learning to cicular breathe, so don't be too critical. lol. It's really just for fun. I attempted "didge-beat boxing". Really, LOT'S of fun! Enjoy, I'll have more vids up eventually.

If you're interested (which you, no doubt, will be after watching) Be sure to go http://www.didgeridoostore.com / to get your very own, reasonably priced, beginner's didgeridoo.

Nice Shirt moondoggy385 - 154 views - 7 months ago
This is a painting of my wonderful girlfriend by yours truly. She recently bought a new shirt and this is my digital rendition of her. It was done using only "Colors!"- a sweet little application for the nintendo DS. The actual end of the painting is at about 2:13. I was just too lazy to cut down the video.

The song used is "Being Human" by an amazing composer named Joel Nielsen

The Animals - House of the Rising Sun (1964)

So gifted and ahead of the times! In my humble opinion, Newcastle's Animals circa 1964 were vastly superior to their chart contemporaries, the Beatles and the Stones. The Beatles were loveable moptops then, and the Stones were still a few years away from their songwriting peak, but The Animals were raw, gritty and, in Eric Burdon, they had one of the all-time great blues/rock voices.

The Animals' take on "House of the Rising Sun" sounded wholly new, if you weren't there in 1964 it's hard to imagine today how big a deal this new and gritty sound was, "House of the Rising Sun", was dark, brooding and very, very cool, it had an edge that was lacking from the other Brit-Beat groups and it broke new ground. American music critic and writer Dave Marsh described it as: "the first folk-rock hit," sounding "as if they'd connected the ancient tune to a live wire," while writer Ralph McLean of the BBC agreed that: "it was arguably the first folk rock tune," calling it "a revolutionary single" after which "the face of modern music was changed forever."

- One of the earliest "British Invasion" bands to achieve massive success in America.

- The most authentic of the UK's first wave of R&B bands.

- Helped kickstart the folk-rock boom with their cover of 'House of the Rising Sun'.

- Lead singer Eric Burdon is considered one of rock's all-time great voices.

- Backed numerous American blues giants in the UK.

Viva The Animals for the fantastic sound they had!

Eric Burdon - vocals
Alan Price - keyboards
Hilton Valentine - guitar
Chas Chandler - bass
John Steel - drums

About Me: I am just your average teenaged computer geek. I play the keyboard, talkbox, create my own music, and enjoy working with computers (and probably spend too much time on 'em) I'm blessed with a wonderful family along with many outstading friends. I am also the 1st chair tuba player in my school's marching and symphonic band. It's probably becoming clear that i am heavily involved in music. After high school, I intend to go to college and someday become a music composer for movies, TV shows, and/ or video games.

_____________ F.A.Q .___________

Do you really just sit around and make music?

-Yeah, pretty much. I do get out and ride my bike around town every day, but that's about it

What do you use to make your songs?

-At this point, I use nothing but Propellerhead's Reason. (Version 4)

What's that tube thing in your mouth!?

-That is a talkbox. It's what allows me to create that "singing synth" effect.

Why do you have 2 computers in those talkbox videos?

-I'm not using the sounds produced by my keyboard with the talkbox. It's my desktop pc that's producing the sound, I'm just controlling it with the keyboard. This means that the audio output of my pc is sent to the talkbox. That's why I need a second computer to play the back up music, otherwise, the synth sounds AND the backup music would be sent through the talkbox.

You're music's pretty cool! Would you mind making something for me?

-I would love to! Just send me a message.

Hey, I have the same amp/ keyboard as you!

- That's great billy...

You know, for a nerd, you're pretty cool.

-Thanks. :)
