Molly is a young girl from the Mathare slum of Nairobi, Kenya. She's one of 20 million children around the world who receive a meal in school every day thanks to the World Food Programme. In 2011, we gave her a small video camera donated by Cisco and asked her to record scenes from her daily life. You can see much of what she shot on this channel.
Fascinated by Molly's videos, some children at a school in Rome, Italy, decided to respond to Molly with their own video. You will also find some of their video on this page. And so began a dialogue-by-video between children in quite different cultural environments. We're hoping this dialogue will continue, and broaden to other children, other schools.
This project was made possible in part through a contribution of 2,500 high-definition digital video cameras from Cisco.
