The Major League Baseball Players Trust is dedicated to volunteerism to help the needy and to encourage others to do the same. The Players Trust provides more than $1.5 million in annual grants and programs and has touched the lives of thousands of disadvantaged people in hundreds of communities around the world.
"The Players Trust provides players with the opportunity to assist people who need our help," said all-star center fielder, Torii Hunter. "As players, most of us are in good position to help and the Trust helps us connect with the people who need our help most."
The Trust is administered by three Trustees -- MLBPA executive director Donald M. Fehr and the MLBPAs two Association Representatives, Mark Loretta and Tony Clark, in conjunction with a Trust Committee made up of players from each team.

Featured Program: The Action Team
One of the Trust's signature programs is the Action Team national youth volunteer program, created and administered with Volunteers of America. In September 2009, Major Leaguers will launch an Internet version of this program to allow virtually every high school in America to become part of this exciting program.
