I saw a news reporter ask Yusuf ,at an airport, his opinion of the "fatwa" on S. Rusdie. It was years ago , right after the fatwa was issued by Ayatolah Komeini. (Sorry -mis-spelled) He had no "prepared" comment ready and spoke freely. He said he agreed with the fatwa, because it said so in the Koran. I was deeply offended, that HE, of all people, would say such a thing.
