Just a short video I caught of P42DC #185 pushing a shuttle consist to the New Haven, CT Amtrak yard. This engine will leave the Amfleets to probably be cleaned for the night, then it will shut down for the evening.

After a bad storm on 6/26/09 a recovery train was sent to retrive a set of M2 railcars that were powered down due to lightning strikeing a part of the electrical system (I saw that as well, really scary stuff seeing lightning that close and the fire that ensued.) The BL20's are a fairly recent addition to the Metro north railroad and are a replacement for the Gp9 and the FL9"s that used to run small late night freights and service trains. It is extremley rare to see anything other than M2 Railcars on the New Cannan branchline, so this train was a real treat.
