A group for those filmmakers who are passionate about the post production process. Show off your editing prowess to the group. Get some constructive feedback from other members. Need help putting together a demo reel for your portfolio or how to fix a troublesome scene, share it with the group. Get advise on trouble shooting your software whether its Final Cut Pro, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Pro Tools, Adobe Audtion, Sony Soundforge, DVD Studio Pro and Adobe Encore DVD.
There is no restriction on what you can submit to the group. Original works, adaptations, re-edits, remixes are fine. Just please do not post someone elses work or TV show unless you actually do some sort of re-edit to it.
This group can be used as a tool for former students (or non-students), who are no longer in the class environment, that are seeking feedback.
Please keep constructive feedback friendly and be respectful of users software choices and type of material.
Members, if you want feedback on an edit I suggest making a new post that includes the title of the piece, what you were trying to accomplish and address any concerns you have over your piece... then add that piece to the group. That way group members know which piece you want feedback and can reply in the post thread.
Also, please be sure to rate all the videos you watch.
***UPDATE 5/14/08***
I've been getting a lot of complaints about people doing multiple post on topics like "Check out my video" for example... Although I encourage people to share THEIR work please refrain from reposting the same thing... Also this group is about the craft of editing so if you're going to post you should have something technical to say about it... perhaps asking for feedback or asking for help with software etc. "Check out this band" and only having the video posted is NOT acceptable. This groups is here to be a tool for video editors, let's keep it that way.
