Cromwell was not genocidal. There was one battle where he gave the Irish the choice, "submit and have peace or fight to the death". The Irish noble leader made the choice "Fight to the death" and then promptly FLED ..ran away while leaving his people to Cromwell. War is hell..no question about it. But an ultimatum is just that "Do this..or...that will happen"
Cromwell was the best thing to happen to England for centuries.
