Hi!
Saw your commnt on "Take Me In Your Arms" Elmer Feldkamp & his Orch. I marvel at the then non-concern about perceived negativity in names which could become adverse marketing in record sales in the early days. I agree, some names should have been changed or not used, but if that had happened we would not have some of the cute record collector jokes and puns that we have now. I have several of Sunny Clapp's records, and they are all good. Actually the name of the Band was "Sunny Clapp and his Band o' Sunshine" it just gets better. Two cute plays on words that can seperate a bad radio announceer from a good one: "And now, Whoopie John Wilfahrt and his orchestra will play..." "And now, Here's Eddie Duchin himself at the piano...." |

loved the ponselle, and adored the sara scuderi. i am a diehard callas devotee, but i am beginning to enlarge my range of tastes. you are a person of fine sensibilities. may your inspiration never be exhausted. best wishes, dia.
