The Rowan Tree was originally an acoustic instrumental that I wrote long before I joined Blackmore's Night. It eventually evolved into "Wishing Well" off "The Secret Life of Cinderella, (2007)", which was originally written for Blackmore's Night's second album, "Under a Violet Moon." But Ritchie said the song was too much like what they already had written. So I used the instrumental as a prelude to Wishing Well on the album. (less info)
