Hadrah is a form of Sufi Chanting zikr (remmemberance) of Gods devine names practiced by some of the sufi schools like Qadiriyah or Rifa'iyah schools. It is destinguished by the fact that it is performed standing and sometimes with arms locked together. It is an ecstatic form of chanting where the attendents may start to sway and move to the chant or dance or whirl. There are usually drums and reciters who recite while the crowd chants. It is quite a phenomena to look at, but to taste its fruit is inexplicable.
