On July 26th, 2005, John and Mike Logsdon
began a bicycle trip that would take them
from the far northern shores of Prudoe Bay,
Alaska, to Ushuaia, Argentina, the southern
most city in the world.
The trip was dedicated to the memory of
their mother, Jean, who had died 10 years
earlier from a malignant brain tumor. They
would raise money for the National Brain
Tumor Foundation, spread awareness about
brain tumors, as well as explore new places
and make meaningful connections with new
people.
After 4000 miles of pedaling, one such
person was Nateon Ajello. Living in Los
Angeles, California, Nateon was working as
a film maker and animator, and had lost his
mother to a brain tumor as well. Enamored
with the idea, Nateon joined the ride 3
weeks after meeting the brothers and
documented the next 10,000 miles.
Spinning Southward is a documentary of
what they experienced living every day on a bicycle. ---SpinningSouthward.com---
