Create a simple mechanism that runs off wind or waterpower, which conveys your concept of time.

Concept: Society's understanding of time no longer coincides with that of the natural world. The resources we consume are not infinite, but belong to a cycle, which, given enough time, will repeat itself. Our current rate of consumption requires a perpetual supply of resources and energy, does not integrate into any natural cycle, and does not account for waste we produce.
