Is Boris Johnson just a harmless clown? Is he casually racist? Why is he always apologising (to Liverpool, Portsmouth, Papua New Guinea, Jeremy Paxman, Black People)? It doesn't matter - the key thing is that he just isn't fit to be mayor of london. Foundations by Kate Nash seemed the perfect backdrop to a situation we all wanted to avoid. Did you see Ken Livingstone's losing speech? He was so gracious, so committed to London. It demonstrated all that Boris lacks. However, as Ken said, our City is paramount. I hope beyond hope that things work out. I hope that David Cameron's minders run things well and keep BJ from gaffing his way to disaster. We can't turn back the clock; let's just cross our fingers and hope our City and its people will be ok. (less info)
