We speak Mongolian and most of us can write in Mongolian uigur characters. We just don't use it in official matters. You said Inner Mongolians saved major parts of the Mongol culture. Tell me how you did.
You guys don't even worship poems while we have a beautiful competition that is held biannually. Poem was used in a conversation a lot in the past - hope you know that. Also, you know that we developed first mailing system in the world, in which postmen used poems to remember the letter from the sender to the receipent.
After all, tell me something - why do we two Mongolians not have a problem like two Koreans have?
There're many relatives separated by the border. But we seem not to have such a separation, don't we?!!!!

About our Independent MONGOLIAN's I want to say that we speaks Mongolian totally, we saved our culture, and continueing it develope. Half of the population is still living in country side and continues traditional way of life.

But InnerMongolians are loosing their origin, they are more mixed than Buryat, Kalmyk, Tuva Mongols. More and more innerMongolians marries to chinese and losing their origin. China doesn't give any opportunity to develope InnerMongolia as a nation. Everything that they are building, reforming is for chinese not for InnerMongolians. So InnerMongolians have only two choices. Save their origin and live in a not developed countriside or assimilate with chinese to connect with outer world. It is chinese expansion toward InnerMongolians, Tibetans, Uighurs and so on.

AMAR MEND UU! I have read your comment and I am not fully agree with your opinion. If you are InnerMongolian and you knew that I am Mongolian why you didn't wrote your comment in Mongolian? Is that means that most of InnerMongolians don't know their own language? Even on TV Show in InnerMongolia used subtitles in Mongolian Script as thinking that people don't understand their language.

About Mongolians living in Russia i have another opinion. I am agree that they have lost most of their cultural and language legacy more than innerMongolians. May be it is because they were under Russian domination more longer than InnerMongolia was under Chinese domination. Every time I tries to distinguish Manchu's from Chinese. And want to say that InnerMongolia got under Chinese domination only at the begining of the XX century.
