Stan Immelman, the current 800m world masters champion in the Men's 60-64 age group and current 800m world record holder (2.3.7) in the Mens 55-59 age group for the 7.5 years, will not be in Lahti, Finland to defend his title. He will, however, be watching with keen interest if Nolan Shaheed, who will be entering the 60 age group on 18 July, a week before the commencement of the world championship, will succeed in his attempt at the world record in the M60, a time of 2.10.4, currently held by Alan Bradford of Australia. All eyes will be on Nolan at the USA Masters Track & Field Champs to be held in Reno during July, shortly before the World Champs. Good luck Nolan !
