Men Huifeng was involved in the creation of the 48 form. Li Deyin claims he ws involved too but he doesn't mention Men. As for the 24 form, Li as well as Men are too young to have been involved, in their early teens. Li doesn't even claim to be, but his uncle Li Tianji was.

You need a good teacher there who understands weapons. And I would recommend getting the excellent VCD's (2) by Li Deyin on taijidao. I see you can get them on Ebay for about 15 dollar. A bargain! :-) Keep up the good work though - regards, Marc

Yes sure. But the name is not that important. This form has qishi(opening) + 8 movements + shoushi(closing), so that explains the confusion. A lot of forms try to come out on exactly a multiple of 8, sometimes this is only possible if you force the count a little bit.
