Spirits are every were. But certain locations seem to be more open between our world and the spirit world. Spirit communication can be done anywhere and at anytime.
ANYONE can communicate with the spirit world, there are no experts when it comes to the paranormal. There is not a single human on this earth that really understands the paranormal. Were all just trying our best in our own ways to understand it.
Twenty two years of experience in the paranormal and been doing ouija's since I was 13.
I am also a Psychic/Clairvoyant, Registered with the SNU (Spiritualist National Union) I give house readings/online readings. I like to use all modern devices to give readings rather than the old fashion way of person to person.

Do your spirits all have the same religion?
Have you ever asked a spirit of his or her religious background and their outlook on the religous/dogmatic world?
If Christianity is "true," are only Christians sent to heaven (No Muslims, Atheists, etc.)?
