Technological Threat is an animation short that was made by my friend Brian Jennings and his colleague Bill Kroyer in 1988. It was nominated for best animation short. Unfortunately the award went to Pixar for Tin Toy made by John Lasseter and Steve Jobs. I personally think that Technological threat should have won that year.

I like how this short uses hand drawn animation for the wolves and computer animation for the dweebs and blocky boss. It's a good analogy of how computer animation was going to take over hand drawn animation in the early 1990s.

Since Pixar won't allow any of their stuff to be on youtube due to their strict copyright infringment laws, and you want to see Tin Toy. You will have to purchase the Pixar DVD animation shorts. Or you can buy it on ITunes for 2 dollars.
