We are Camille and Kennerly, the "Harp Twins". We both have degrees in harp performance from the same Conservatory of Music and currently perform professionally as a harp duet: HarpReflections.

We enjoy the challenge of media work and are currently involved in several acting and media projects.

According to the Discovery Health Channel, we are America's Most Identical Female twins and were featured on a one-hour TV special with 3 other sets of twins. We will also be featured on British national television (Channel 4) for a special on The World's Closest Twins. We volunteer in athletic and "buddy" programs for challenged children, teens, and young adults. We are Martial Arts Instructors and Third Degree Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do. We reached "Distinguished Experts" in Rifle Marksmanship. We are best friends and trusted allies. We have taken all the same classes and shared all of our jobs and gigs.

We are "G" rated Twins. We are "clean", not mean, and that's our theme.

ASL:
We are musicians, not sign language majors, not interpreters, not CODA. Our sign language videos are for our Deaf/HOH friends. As musicians, our goal is that our sign videos straddle the line between ASL and music. We want the music to share some importance with ASL, not have the ASL only portray the concept while the music is "lost". Sometimes we use PSE along with ASL to keep the feel of the music. Plus, we hope the videos appeal to HOH as well as Deaf friends. It is a learning process for us to combine our loves: music and message.

We think it is acceptable to use the phrase "speak sign language" because it is our belief that American Sign Language is a real LANGUAGE, not merely a communication system, nor is it English "done with hands". ASL is as valid a language as English, or Spanish, or French, or Chinese, or any other language, even if it is non-vocal communication, and even if our hands are our voices. We don't say we "use" sign language because it is not our primary language. We don't say we "sign sign language" because that is redundant. We don't say we "do" sign language because one doesn't "do" English or German or Greek, etc. ASL is a language in which hand shape, body placement, movement, and facial expression all take on a grammatical definition which helps to express the context of the message.

Since we are not Deaf we will always have a lot to learn. We have only been signing for about 8 years. For over 6 years we helped our friends with a Deaf social club and fellowship. We just did whatever was needed: set up for events, prepared and served food, babysat and organized games and activities for the kids (some CODA, some Deaf), showed movies, cleaned up afterwards, helped send out mailings for the events, etc.
