This Byrds classic was written by folk legend Pete Seeger over fifty years ago. The lyrics were adapted by Pete from the Bible, the Book of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3 Verse 1-8.

I've always felt that it says that we are born into an environment where things usually go wrong, but bad times always pass. It's a song of hope.

Roger McGuinn arranged a version for Judy Collins. The version done by the Byrds is one of the best songs of the sixties.

Hope you like this acoustic version, done in the key of A and slightly faster than the McGuinn versions.

This wonderful song about a young boy attempting to capture a wild horse was written by Roger McGuinn and the late Broadway producer Jacques Levy and first appeared on the Byrds "Untitled" album in 1970. It still remains a favourite at Roger McGuinn performances and was especially loved by my two children, Liz and Chris. If Roger McGuinn comes to your town, hearing just this song live is worth the price of the ticket! Hope you like this impromptu acoustic version.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John (Guitar Solo arr.) gjourney - 13,745 views - 11 months ago
One of my favorite songs by Mr. Elton John. As i was in the rootbeer stand with my ma and pa last month, i heard this song playing on the radio and thought it might be just one of those tunes that work well for a solo arrangement. So i gave it a whirl and i really like the idea that the melody was so handy by being part of the chord mostly. More so than other tunes i tackled.

If you have time, I hope you can check out some of my music at www.raytutajjr.com
I have a few different Cd's available now. They are a variety. I am hoping to sell enough to purchase two new high-end guitars that i will need for gigs on the road. The acoustic guitars that i have i am definitely not entirely happy with, and would love to get a steel string acoustic that would really inspire me. One i don't have to fight and one with great intonation. I will be shopping around!

Once again thanks to everyone for all the nice comments and for those who have purchased some of my work.

I am sorry i cannot respond to everyone although i do try my best.

Take care!

Musically Yours,

Hi Jim.

I want to invite you to my new free and radical songwriters web site! I think your youtube clips would have a good chance of winning awards there. The site was only launched a couple of days ago and already songwriters are flooding in and singing its praises. I know you would love the facilities and interaction with other writers. I look forward to chatting with you there.

Regards
Brian
