Hi everybody! My name is Jay and I'm 19+1. In case you can't tell, I absolutely adore gymnastics!! I started when I was 2, and was quite good until I took a years break around the age of 11 due to back pain. When I restarted, my body had changed and I'd lost all my skills but I kept going coz I enjoy it so much. Not long after I had started competing seriously again, I realised I had been training on broken bones for quite a while, and then found out the bones in my wrists were degenerating after so many years in the gym. However, I'm still going, and love everything the sport has given me. I compete in five gymsports: artistic, sports acrobatics, aerobics gymnastics, tumbling, and cheerleading (at state/ national/ international level), as well as diving, dancing and figure skating just for fun, coach for three different places, work in a restaurant, study at uni full time, and am at the gym 7 days a week with less than two weeks break a year. Needless to say, I never get bored!!!

Fav gymsport: Artistic gym (coz i love to fly), sport aerobics (coz i love my team), sports acro (my trio is wicked-gotta love them), and cheerleading (luv my squad and the stunts we do).
Fav apparatus: Vault (coz i love the feeling of sticking the landing), bars (coz I have an undefeated competition record), beam (I find it relaxing for some bizarre reason), and floor (it's a fun routine to show off). For aero gym, def love my pairs routine much more than indi's - luv u meesh!!! For cheer, gotta love the stunt routine! Dont really have a prefernce in acro yet (for those uninformed, there's a balance and a dynamic routine).
