Vocalist Lua Hadar moves from concert to jazz club to stage, switching languages, ranges and styles at will. As a comedienne, she's been compared to Martha Raye, as a singer, she's been compared to both Abbe Lane and Nana Mouskouri. She performs on stage in musical theatre, in cabarets with solo piano, and most passionately, with her band TWIST. Her latest CD, Like A Bridge, debuted to a sellout house at Somethin' Jazz Club in New York, preceded by the band's international debut at the Bangkok International Festival of Dance & Music, Hadar's Paris debut at the Swan Bar, and her 2010 cultural exchange concert and master class in Lille, France. She has been seen at many of San Francisco's best venues, including Yoshi's, The Rrazz Room, The Plush Room and the Fairmont Hotel. Her multi-lingual performances demonstrate her skills as a great communicator, no matter what the language.
