Speaking of Brahms, we performed his Opus 82, Nenia, (or Nänie in the German spelling,) when I was a ninth grader in High School. (Iowa, U.S.) I sang the bass part, and quite literally it stretched my voice and haunted my mind for a time. I still, nine years later, have much of the piece memorized.

Also, +1 for the LSO playing Shostakovich's 5th.

I hope I can sing with you guys one day!

At the moment I'm searching for a double bassist to sing fado live in London, but the biggest dream is to one day sing with a wonderful Orchestra! It will happen!
