As with this and other recordings, I have enjoyed the diversity and performance ethic of the LSO for many years. My hat off especially to the brass and those gentleman in the trumpet section. In the recent retirement of an icon, thanks for carrying on the tradition of great playing. Look forward to hearing more great music.

Kindest regards from South Carolina, USA

Speaking of Brahms, we performed his Opus 82, Nenia, (or Nänie in the German spelling,) when I was a ninth grader in High School. (Iowa, U.S.) I sang the bass part, and quite literally it stretched my voice and haunted my mind for a time. I still, nine years later, have much of the piece memorized.

Also, +1 for the LSO playing Shostakovich's 5th.
