Liquid Picasso was formed in 1998 by songwriters Mutt, Trent McMunn, Robert Wittman and Chris Lobello. Over the years the band has recorded and performed a vast catalog of songs. In 2002 Liquid Picasso became a Rock Trio consisting of the original members Robert Wittman and Mutt adding drummer George Niesuchouski to the project. Within the first year the band recorded a 13 song demo at Clearly Supreme Studios with Engineer Rob Salem and began playing venues on Long Island and in New York City. In 2004 the band went into Don Casale Studios under contract to record the followup 13 song disc with Grammy Nominated, Platinum and Gold Record Producer Don Casale (In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida / Iron Butterfly and More) which included Mike Funk on Piano/Keyboards. Over the years Jason Touvi was added on Guitar before recording with Don Casale. Liquid Picasso disbanded the summer of 2005. In the January of 2006 Robert Wittman and Mutt formed their own recording studio and started recording new songs. By October 2006 Mutt and Robert wanted to perform the new songs live as Liquid Picasso. They added a live band featuring Dee Ri on Drums and Luis Del Villar on Vocals/Piano. They performed the new songs live from October 2006 - January 2007. In January 2007 Mutt and Jason Touvi decided to continue onward with Live Shows, Recording and working as a band in the studio again. Between conflicting schedules and band members relocating Mutt added Anthony Benedetto on drums and Kevin Sheehan on Bass. From January to August 2007 the LP Quartet playing many live shows, made videos and managed to write and record a new CD. As of August 2007 Mutt, Robert and Jason decided to retire the project.
