In response to your reply about the movie Closer's final scene.

They did all lie...but she was the most honest one. In the beginning of the movie when they're at Julia Robert's showcase, Clive Owen asks Portman, "isn't the book about you?", she says "some of it"...Owen asks "what did he leave out?" she says, "the truth."

She was always honest with him yet always portraying a weak subordinate female with jude Law's character.

This one part also shows just how honest she was. The moment she had enough of him, she said so...and that was it.

The way she does it is what breaks my heart.
