Influences:

I am influenced by many performers, but in particular Ella Fitzgerald, Carol King and Susan Vega. My appreciation of their work is based not only on performance but also composition detail and the messages contained in their music. I am particularly impressed with how each of these women has succeeded in performing timeless work, which can be enjoyed by a diverse audience. I want to be able to bridge the gap between different age groups and I regard them as role models for doing this.
