Austen was the queen of setting up scenes.(no pun intended considering you are Boleyn fan ;) ) 'Persuasion' to me was her best novel, and one of the loveliest books I have ever read, not because it was her last, but because to me it was just incandescent. It glowed with repressed love and yet Austen always finds a way to make a story charge forward without dwelling too much on romantic predicaments. I am reading Mansfield Park at the moment and just about to watch 'Lady Jane' with Helena Bonham Carter. Keep uploading the Starkey vids if you can - he is wicked!
