LBFF Board member Don Moriarty, Jr. and Medical Advisory Board member, Dr. Richard Elias were featured in a segment of Hometown Heroes, broadcast by DirectTV, a provider of satellite television series on May 4, 2008.

Dr. Elias was featured treating one of his LBFF patients, Sharon Wong. The reconstructive surgery enabled 11-year old Sharon to chew solid foods for the first time in her life. Dr. Elias is a board certified dentist who specializes in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Like all members of the LBFF Medical Advisory Board, he provides his services to LBFF free of charge.

Don was selected because of his tireless fundraising efforts for the Little Baby Face Foundation. He has been an integral part of the organization since its inception. The Little Baby Face Foundation is a New York City-based organization of surgeons and medical providers who volunteer their time and expertise to treat children from around the world born with facial birth defects.
