(*Several people have asked me why I have no videos of Mark Driscoll posted. I do not support his ministry. Let me make this point clear, though: I do consider Mark Driscoll a brother. I do not question that, but just as I would not direct someone to a brother that I don't believe would particularly edify them and could potentially hurt them, I won't direct people to Driscoll. It's too dangerous to send someone who doesn't know any better into a room with a bunch of clear liquids, some nourishing and some poisonous, and leave it up to someone who doesn't handle the chart right to tell them which is safe and which isn't. I feel the same way about Driscoll regarding what is right Christian conduct and understanding and what isn't. I may promote him eventually, but now, I can not, in good conscience, endorse someone who sacrifices the integrity of the Gospel for whatever reason he does. We all, myself included, compromise the Gospel in some respect by the way we conduct ourselves at times, but there is a difference between seeing something wrong with that and correcting it and giving lip service to saying something is wrong and not being open to correction about it in practice. Driscoll holds to the latter. I pray he grows up and realizes that ego and popularity among those who compromise are not more important than the purity and integrity of the Gospel. I know he struggles with pride as he has himself says he does. I will continue to keep him in my prayers regarding this as I do wish him the best.)
