Britain's only lifeguard dog Bilbo made this special video appeal to get his job back. Bilbo a 14-stone Newfoundland made the Baywatch-style film to show himself in action after he was axed from his post in May 2008.

The seven-year-old Newfoundland, who has been credited with helping save three lives at Sennen Cove in Cornwall, lost his job when the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) decided that his services were no longer required.

But, the film and resultant petition must have worked, because this wonderful boy will back this summer (2009) working on the beach.

One of our most prized possessions is a winged retriever mobile that I've had for years. To share the inspiration and also support our efforts to provide working dogs with monies for cancer treatment, these goodies are now being featured at our foundation's store at http://store.landofpuregold.co m/wingwhimsy.htm .

This line features over 100 handcrafted designs of mobiles that represent a wide variety of animals and creatures, both real and imaginary. Each mobile consists of a body with an attached pair of wings, suspended from a hanging assembly and carefully balanced so that a tug on the body or a gentle breeze causes the wings to flap.

These winged wonders are made from furniture grade birch plywood, further detailed with wood-burning, and then decorated with exterior-grade enamel paint and oil stain. Some of the pieces have gorgeous etched acrylic wings instead of wood.

There is additionally an assortment of 50 miniatures and a variety of collector displays in which to showcase them.
