Are you kidding me? When a show becomes popular, its beause people think that its brilliant even the times and the gaurdian gave it rave reviews, and as much as i love sweeney todd, it did only play for six weeks/mounths, meaning it really wasnt that popular in its current state. But now, with the movie being released and a softer sounding Johanna. Now people are able to fully enjoy the peice without being overwhemeled by the high note blocking out the beautiful lyrics.
Also SS (composer) re wrote the music so he himself couldnt have been all that happy with it.
and dont insult wicked, i can garentee it wil go on for years to come...
