The "Una voce poco fa" Contest - Jennifer Larmore LindoroRo... - 1,432 views - 2 years ago
After numerous requests for new versions of "Una voce poco fa", I spent some time looking for new renditions and I'm happy to annonce that I'm adding this month seven new renditions of the famous air. The singers are: the stunning Jennifer Larmore, the virtuoso Luisa Tetrezzini, the high-flying Mado Robin, the warm Maria Barrientos, the lightning-fast Roberta Peters, the wonderful Sonia Ganassi and the sweet Victoria de Los Angeles. I do hope you enjoy this contest (the system is the same: the marks range from 1 to 5; there are two categories: singing/characterization; so your mark (+ comment :-) ) should look like this: (*/*))! Also, if you have the time, listen to all the versions, I think it's interesting to compare them all to see what makes each rendition so special. Thank you all in advance for your comments and opinions :-) !

About Me: The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1968 as an artistic outlet for the film and record studios most gifted musicians. Since then, the 40-member orchestra has acquired a reputation as one of the top ten ensembles of its kind in the world. The respected music critic Jim Svejda recently praised LACO as "Americas finest chamber orchestra." Renowned pianist and conductor Jeffrey Kahane has led the group since 1997, continuing the standard of excellence set by the orchestras first four music directors, Sir Neville Marriner, Gerard Schwarz, Iona Brown and Christof Perick.
