Through education, networking opportunities, consulting services and information sharing, the Initiative envisions a Commonwealth where nonprofit organizations have the resources and support necessary to effectively meet community needs.

The Nonprofit Leadership Initiative at the University of Kentucky was founded in February 2002. The Initiative is an outreach program of the UK College of Agriculture and is affiliated with the College's Center for Leadership Development and the Department of Community and Leadership Development.
