Kscope are pleased to announce the signing of Se Delan, the latest band to join the label's roster. Se Delan are a duo made up of Justin Greaves, the multi-instrumentalist leader of Crippled Black Phoenix, and Belinda Kordic on vocals, a Swedish singer who previously recorded as Killing Mood.

Greaves initially came to prominence as drummer with seminal sludge metal act Iron Monkey and went on to form Crippled Black Phoenix in 2004. CBP has since been the sole focus of his musical output, recording seven albums, embarking on countless tours and working with a host of different artists.

Se Delan's debut album The Fall feels distinct from anything Greaves has worked on before. The duo have shared the writing duties on the album, with Justin making the music and Belinda creating the words and vocals. The combination of shared influences ('music, film and life') and a mutual understanding of the way each other works has resulted in a beguiling and haunting album.

New 2 disc set from Steven Wilson featuring unreleased tracks, videos, live recordings and high-resolution audio - available on Blu-ray & CD and CD & DVD - OUT NOW

In February 2013 Steven Wilson released 'The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories)', his third solo album. The album was a huge critical and commercial success, earning numerous 5 star reviews and charting well across the world, debuting at #3 in the German national chart, #28 in the UK top 40, #57 in the US Billboard top 200, #16 in Holland and #17 in Finland.

The Blu-ray and DVD feature the new video for lead track 'Drive Home' along with the video for 'The Raven That Refused To Sing', both directed by Jess Cope. They also include four tracks recorded live in Frankfurt during the recent tour.

In addition, the Blu-ray and DVD feature audio recordings of two previously unreleased tracks, 'The Birthday Party' and an orchestral version of 'The Raven That Refused To Sing'. 'The Birthday Party' was recorded in LA at the same sessions as the tracks that made up the album while the version of 'The Raven That Refused To Sing' is a new mix that strips the track back to just the orchestra and vocals.

All the songs on the Blu-Ray and DVD are mixed in both stereo and 5.1 sound, including the two audio only titles. The audio on the Blu-Ray is full lossless 96/24 throughout. These tracks are also included on the CD, along with the audio from the live tracks and an edit of 'Drive Home'.

"Bruce Soord and Jonas Renkse star in one of the jewels of 2013"
9/10 noizzwebzine

Originally written with Renkse's voice in mind, Soord sought out the acclaimed Katatonia vocalist to complete the compositions and release the music to the masses. Despite the rigorous schedules of The Pineapple Thief and Katatonia, the two musicians were eventually able to connect.

Both artists are currently enjoying unparalleled success with their main bands.

The Pineapple Thief have just completed a successful European tour following the release of their latest album, All The Wars in September. Rocksound described All The Wars as "an album of Muse-like, slow burning guitar anthems", while Classic Rock stated it was "the sound of a band reaching the height of their powers" and Prog argued it was an "elegant, sophisticated work... moody and meaningful, introspective and universal."

Katatonia also released a new album last year. Dead End Kings was released on the Peaceville label in aAugust and reinforced their position as "one of the most consistently fascinating bands in modern heavy music." (Metal Hammer, 9/10). The album featured heavily in the album of the year polls of magazines around the world and was also nominated for a Grammy in the band's homeland of Sweden.

Nosound Play

Regarded by critics and fans alike as one of the most interesting up and coming alt/art rock bands in Europe, Nosound inventively combines influences from `70s psychedelia, `80s/`90s ambient and contemporary alternative, progressive and post rock. The project started as a one man studio project in late 2002 by Giancarlo Erra, but has since grown into a five piece band, evolving into something unique, focused and powerful. The music is evocative and intense, with personal songwriting. Influences range from Pink Floyd to Brian Eno, from Porcupine Tree to Sigur Ros, passing through rock and electronic/ambient. Early 2013 saw the band finishing work on the new studio album, called Afterthoughts and to be released worldwide on Kscope 6th May 2013. Afterthoughts is released as a 2 disc set featuring the stereo mix of the album on CD plus a DVD-A / DVD-V with 5.1 surround high resolution 24bit / 96kHz mixes. Anathema Play

ANATHEMA began their journey as pioneers of melodic heavy music, influencing a myriad of bands to follow them, before outgrowing all genres and limitations as they fearlessly explored new territory and ways to express feelings through sound.

"As far as music that you can really feel goes, Anathema are streets ahead of just about any other band in the world" - Kerrang!

Formed in Liverpool in the early 90's, the band's musical vision has continually evolved over the ensuing years while always remaining true to their original goal of creating forward thinking, meaningful, passionate and honest music. With each release they move beyond the boundaries of limited scenes and pigeon holes, creating a complex and emotive atmospheric sound.

Countless world tours have built up a very loyal international fan base and the "Natural Disaster" tour saw them playing hundreds of shows in over 30 countries.
The line-up is really a collective of two families, who were quite simply born to play music. Anathema consists of brothers Vincent, Daniel and Jamie Cavanagh, alongside childhood friends John Douglas and his sister Lee, who is an incredible singer in her own right. The line-up is completed by Les Smith, who beings much in the way of production expertise to the band. There is a deep bond in the group that transcends usual band politics, ego and avarice. They have a shared vision and are about to take the band to a whole new level. Anathema are currently working on an album of brand new material. A multi coloured, multi layered work of unbridled emotion, passion and intensity, it is set to be an album beyond all expectations!

Porcupine Tree Play

For more info on Porcupine Tree's latest album: www.kscopemusic.com/porcupinetree Porcupine Tree are unquestionably one of the most difficult-to-categorize and innovative bands out there. The music is breathtaking, ranging from psychedelic trip-hop to progressive metal, and a compendium of other sounds in between. The band is fronted by Steven Wilson, who also is well-known for his work producing other artists; from Swedish progressive metal group Opeth, to Norwegian chanteuse Anja Garbarek. He also has several other projects, including No-Man, Bass Communion, and the highly acclaimed collaboration with Israeli musician Aviv Geffen, Blackfield.Porcupine Tree was founded as a self-indulgent creative outlet for Wilson, and the first major release was On the Sunday of Life in 1992, an album of psychedelia and studio experiments which bears little relation to the bands current sound. From here, Wilson expanded the sound, creating the progressive rock/ambient trance fusion on the 30-minute long single Voyage 34. One of the only constants in Porcupine Trees music is how it continues to evolve and confront the expectations of the bands fans from album to album. In late 1993, the solo project became a band, as Colin Edwin (bass), Chris Maitland (drums), and Richard Barbieri (keyboards) were recruited to enable Porcupine Tree to perform live. Richard had previously been a member of experimental 80s bands, Japan. The first real band album recorded was Signify in 1996, which was followed by Stupid Dream (1999), a breakthrough album which saw the band move into a more song-orientated direction. Lightbulb Sun continued along that song-oriented tack, but, never content to rest on their laurels, Porcupine Tree changed course again for their next release, shuffling their line up for the first (and to date, only) time. Chris Maitland departed and was replaced by Gavin Harrison in 2002, as the band signed a new international recording deal with Lava/Atlantic Records. The bands first two major label album releases were In Absentia and Deadwing, heavier than previous releases, the albums have found favour with older fans and introduced Porcupine Tree to a whole new audience. This new audience has continued to grow with the release this years Fear Of A Blank Planet album on Roadrunner Records. Universally lauded the album has been described by Q as a genuinely thrilling rock record, and as the first mandatory album purchase of 2007 by Classic Rock, who also awarded the album the prestigious Album Of The Year award at the recent Classic Rock Awards, while it moved Mojo to state Porcupine Trees time has come.
