Dear Kreidnix, Your presentations are superv!! I have used your slide on MTF and PSF in my class. Those are the most intuitive explanations I have ever heard.

Yeah, it is really amazing how much phase sensitive detection can improve measurements. IMHO despite all the time spent on signals in electrical engineering programs not too many students really understand how much of a difference narrowing bandwidth can make...
